Homeward Bound

I will have to regale you with a TNNA recap soon, but right now I’m not sure I could do it justice. Suffice to say I met all sorts of amazing people – designers, yarnies, Ravelry people… I was so worried that going to TNNA was going to be an expensive trip that I couldn’t justify, but I did a ton of business and I met so many amazing people and made so many useful contacts that it was totally worth it.
Right now I’m firmly settled into my homewtown with all the nostalgia and warm fuzzies that only come with being home. It isn’t the home I grew up in, but it’s home just the same. I forget how beatiful and hilly and green Ohio is – it’s been two years since I’ve been here – two years too long. If I lived in my mom’s house I would have beautiful place to takes pictures all the time. Because her backyard looks like this:

I’ve been knitting along on the first of the Seven Sonnets. It will be released on July 1st and I’m really adoring the shaping on this one. The Soy Beautiful yarn from Our Humble Castle is perfect and sheeny (yes, sheeny) and just a super tasty yarn.

I can’t wait to see how it blocks out. Blocking on the road could be quite an adventure. Wish me luck!
