I caught up on all the laundry yesterday, so today I was ready to knit. Last night I had worked on some swatches and I contemplated using one of my ideas in a different direction – literally. So this morning after I got the menfolk out the door, I tidied up the kitchen, put a roast in the crockpot, and settled in.

I think I watched five episodes of Supernatural today. But I also charted out the shawl completely and got a good start on the actual knitting. I’ll tidy up the pattern, send it off to my tech editor and then all I have to do is knit the puppy! I’m hoping to get it done by the end of the weekend so I can block it and get good photographs this week.

All in all this is coming together really smoothly. Spending too much time on housework yesterday helped me feel ok about sitting on my duff with Sam & Dean all day. Of course now I am doing insane amounts of prep work for a very busy tomorrow. But the knitting time will come soon – maybe with a drink and a chance to prop off my feet yet again tonight!
