I’m kind of in love with this shawlette. It turned out just as sweet and as lovely as I imagined it in my head. I love when that happens! I love starting with the blank slate of new yarn and whatever happens next is up to me.
This my friends is the Ceniza Shawlette, worked up in Classic Elite’s Canyon yarn. Canyon is 85% pima cotton and 15% alpaca, and somehow that fiber blend magically combines to make love and unicorns and glitter. Seriously. It is buttery soft and easy on the hands and blocks like a dream. Perfection.
This is a pattern that is much simpler than it looks – so simple it isn’t even charted! Some slip stitches, some basic increasing and decreasing and you’ve got got a lovely shoulder wrap that goes with anything. It would especially useful for the winter that is seeming to never end – it’s even been chilly down here in Florida.
And the best part? This is available for FREE! I don’t do freebies often, so take advantage of it! Head on over to the Classic Elite Webletter site and you can get your free copy of the Ceniza Shawlette. And if you subscribe to the CEY Webletter you get a free pattern out of their lovely yarns every. single. week. Good stuff!
