Pink Phoenix Pre-Sale

by | Oct 20, 2010 | Uncategorized

The Pink Phoenix Shawlette is available for pre-sale. I’m not quite to my 3-Day goal yet so all proceeds for the rest of the month will go to my walk. The pre-sale price is 25% off of the regular price of $7.00.  So for $5.25 you can pre-order the pattern, which will be available to you on Monday, October 25th!
Also because I haven’t reached my 3-Day goal yet, I’m extending the pattern sale, so all PicnicKnits patterns are 25% off with all proceeds going to my 60-Mile walk.

Hope – Courage – Strength – Love

The pink ribbon means a lot of things to a lot of people. But first and foremost it’s the undisputable symbol of breast cancer awareness. Every 69 seconds another woman dies from breast cancer. Take a minute, let that sink in. Every 69 seconds.

The name for this shawl was suggested by Kristen during my Boobie Blitz Fundraiser for my Komen 3-Day for the Cure. I think rising from the ashes and rebirth is a perfect sort of symbolism for cancer survivors. I’m walking 60 miles to help eradicate this disease forever, and all proceeds from this pattern until the end of this month (October) will go for my walk.

The Pink Phoenix shawlette is worked up in one skein of Malabrigo Sock in the Light of Love colorway. Could it be a more perfect choice? This is a shallow, shaped shawlette that is worked from the top down with a picot edging along the sides and a deep pointed edging along the bottom.
