Saltwater Taffy Bag

by | Jan 14, 2009 | Uncategorized

This one was super fun to design. Found the old sketch in my notebook. Chose colors from my Lamb’s Pride Bulky stash. Knitted it up in no time. And now it’s tested, signed, sealed, and delivered.

Lamb’s Pride Bulky felts up to a wonderfully thick fabric that make up the simple and fun style of the Saltwater Taffy Bag. In pink & green it’s a candy-colored confection. This pattern includes intarsia and cabling.

Needles: Size 13 (9.0 mm) 24″ circular and dpns (or size to get gauge)

Yarn: Lamb’s Pride Bulky 113g, 125 yards – 3 balls of limeade and 2 balls of victorian pink.

Size: Finished bag measures approximately 10x5x11 inches

Gauge: 12 sts and 24 rows to 4 inches before felting, and 16 sts and 28 rows to 4 inches after felting

Very cute bag! Reminds me of a previous job… the founders of our library used to send us saltwater taffy every year, it was great.
