Do you run a business out of your home? Whether you’re a designer or a dyer or some other sort of crafty business do you work from home and are therefore in charge of your own time? If you are, you’re probably laughing at me right now. Sometimes I feel like I have absolutely no control over my life. I mean I schedule the family’s appointments and I’m supposed to know what’s going on, but really, sometimes I feel like life is just carrying me along.
I swear, when I get back from TNNA I’m going to do some things to really take charge of things. To decide what’s important for me and my family and not let the unimportant things steal time away from me. To stop saying yes just because I feel obligated.
To manage my time in such a way that is best for me and my family. So, how do you do it? What do you do to own your time and your life?
I often feel like life is carrying me along as well and I’m sure we’re not alone! To try and keep up with everything I find that I (over)analyze what I’m doing and how it makes me feel – was that appointment/bbq/social function worth the time, effort and inevitable stress I put into it? Do I really want to design that thing? Or hang out with those people? Man, I haven’t felt well in days – wait, when was the last time I went for run or did yoga?
Those types of questions pop up all the time and help me focus on what’s important to me and mine 🙂
