Have I really not blogged but once this year? My goodness. It has been a very busy January. Lots of super secret and contract work and not much to show. I’m actually finishing up a contract piece right now, but I’m dreaming of a shawlette.
For Christmas my dear friend Kim gave me this gorgeous Twisted Fiber Art striping yarn. It’s in the colorway Phantom, with a cute little coordinating skein.
I love the teal. I am all about turquoise and teal lately. I seem to want everything to be in those colors. I’m trying to resist painting my entire office turquoise to make sure it’s not just a phase!
So how do you turn a self-striping yarn into an amazing shawlette? Well for that you’ll just have to watch this space. I’m itching to cast-on, but the work with deadlines must be finished first!
P.S. Because I’m crazy I want to do a knitalong in March! What’s the most amazing emerald green indie yarn in fingering weight that you’ve ever seen?
I love tosh malachite!
I love Sweet Georgia’s English Ivy.
